Christmas is celebrated to remember the birth of Jesus Christ, which is on December 25th. Christmas is generally marked by exchanging gifts, but Christmas is more than just a day when we exchange gifts. It is a time for joy and giving. The spirit of the season is found in the “togetherness” and the thought we give to others. 

Amore Prime School Senior High School (SHS) also did our own Christmas Celebration. This celebration was filled with fun competitions and amazing performances from each grade. We also held a gift exchange event that included all SHS students. However, it is not about the prizes and gifts that matter, but the warmth and joy in togetherness. What about you? How are you going to celebrate Christmas with your loved ones?

Whatever the ways to celebrate it, the joy of Christmas comes from affection and love that gives warmth to everyone. It can be like a gathering with our family and loved ones, where it becomes an important moment that cannot be missed and to be cherished. May Christmas brings happiness to all of us. Merry Christmas everyone!

Happy Teachers’ Day!

Teachers play one of the most important roles in our lives. They teach us not just in formal education, but they also teach us about compassion and perseverance through their lessons. Sometimes they would be mad at us, but that is when they showed that they cared for us. We might say that teachers are like our second parents in school.

Teachers day is celebrated as a form of respect and appreciation for dear teachers in all over Indonesia. On that day, Amorians celebrated the National Teacher’s Day after the ceremony. We gave cakes, words, and gifts to show our love. However, the love that we gave is just a little compared to theirs. So how do you want to truly show your love to them? The best appreciations we can give is by taking their lessons seriously!

Sumpah Pemuda is a form of the fighting spirit of the young generation in its time. It is not a new thing, but that spirit deserves to be continued by the youth of today. It is appropriate for the next generation to claim to be Indonesian, to love the homeland, and to respect the Indonesian language. The spirit of nationalism and patriotism is a milestone in enlivening the spirit of being an Indonesian citizen.

Why is it important for the younger generation to continue to voice the spirit of Sumpah Pemuda? In fact, Sumpah Pemuda awakens the spirit of love for the nation and the homeland as a unity, so that the nation’s ideals can be achieved, namely the independence of Indonesia as a unit, knowing the meaning of the Sumpah Pemuda itself is the struggle of young people that each of whom has a different identity but still succeeds to unite and jointly fight for the independence of Indonesia.

Friday, 28th of October 2022, former Indonesian Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Mr. I Gusti Ngurah Ardiyasa in the event “Sumpah Pemuda: Bersatu Bangun Bangsa” invited young Indonesians, especially Generation Z, to explore their potential to prepare themselves for future challenges. These challenges appear in various forms, including: 1) Technology Challenges; 2) Globalization Challenges; 3) Industry Challenges; 4) Moral and Religious Challenges. The development of the potential of young people is needed because of the desire to change the nation for the better. In the process of change, one of the important sustainable aspects is mental revolution.

Therefore, let us as the nation’s young generation continue the fighting spirit of the heroes by contributing to the development of our beloved country, Indonesia. Unite to build the nation!

As a part of music support program, Amore SHS students went to Chic’s music studio to deepen their knowledge about music.

Starting at the first hour of touring, the students seemed enthusiastic to learn about digital music
and basic singing skill from Kak Pungu Sianga, instructor at Chic’s Musik.

Moreover, It’s not just a workshop on the introduction of music history and on digital music developments. Kak Elvina, a keyboard instructor at Chic’s Musik, gave an introduction about musical instruments. There were also quizzez about music during this talk and student who actively participated and answered correctly get a prize.

Students also had the opportunity to directly record and perform like professional singers with capable recording tools and applications.

In the next session, the director of Chic’s Musik, Mr. Jimi, talked about various profession in the music industry. Study tour then continues with a tour around the studio and introduction of musical instruments, both modern and traditional.

At the end of the tour, students were given a chance to perform in an ensemble using cajon, guitar and bass.

National sports day is the day where all sports are appreciated and remembered. Not only that, it’s also the day where we can all appreciate all the athletes that have made our country proud.

The theme on this year’s national sports day is “Together We Make Champions”. On Saturday, 10th September 2022, SMA Amore Prime School celebrated national sports day by introducing fencing to the students and invited a fencing athlete, Anggrahini Friska, to come and show the introduction to fencing.

Students were shown the fencing sword and the fencing uniform to understand better about fencing equipment.

As fencing rarely introduced at school, this was a rare opportunity for us to learn about fencing, especially introduced by the competing athlete herself.

As the theme says “Together We Make Champions”. Hopefully by learning a new type of sport, SMA Amore Prime School can produce champions and winners.

On the first of September, Senior High Amore Prime School goes to Pradita University. On our visit to Pradita, we gathered in the Auditorium. We were explained a lot of the programs including scholarship programs that is offered by Pradita University as well as many of the courses offered at the university.

We played a lot of fun games as well and did a tour of the campus. We also did a potential, passion and personality test to give us a vision on what we are going to do in our next stage of life. As we are closer and closer to graduate from high school, deciding what we want to learn in university is very important for our future.

We are very thankful to Pradita University for giving us such a wonderful opportunity to learn more about Pradita University.

Banten, 24 Agustus 2022 – Sekolah Menegah Atas (SMA) Amore Prime School atau yang biasa
dikenal APS terus berkembang di era digital.

Untuk mendukung kualitas sekolah ini, pemilik Yayasan beserta tenaga pendidik dan siswa-siswinya
telah menjalani akreditasi untuk pertama kalinya sejak berdiri tahun 2020, jika merujuk pada SK
Pendirian.

Ada pun sejumlah penampilan menarik dari siswa – siswa SMA APS dalam menyambut “Tim Asesor
Visitasi dari BAN – SM Provinsi Banten,” di antaranya: atraksi yang bernuansa kebudayaan Banten
dan paduan suara yang sangat indah.

“Kami sangat bersyukur dengan kedatangan Tim Asesor Visitasi Akreditasi dari BAN – SM Provinsi
Banten ke sekolah kami” ujar Kepala Sekolah SMA APS, Bapak Endirondelino Manas.

Lebih lanjut, Pak Roni juga menegaskan tujuan dari kunjungan ini adalah sebagai motivasi bagi seluruh
stakeholder internal dan eksternal SMA APS untuk meningkatkan kinerja sekolah, baik dari segi
mutu, efektivitas, efesiensi, inovasi, dan produktivitasnya.

Sementara, manfaat bagi siswa-siswi SMA APS adalah mempermudah mereka dalam melanjutkan
pendidikan ke Perguruan Tinggi, perpindahan sekolah, dan memasuki dunia kerja.

Akhirnya, seluruh staf pengajar, siswa-siswa, dan orang tua murid mengharapkan hasil terbaik dari
kegiatan kunjungan atau visitasi dari Tim Asesor BAN – SM Provinsi Banten.

On the 15th and 16th of July, Senior High School Student Council held an event called SOW or Student Orientation Week. This event was held to introduce the school environment to new students. The theme for this event is “Expand Your Horizons”, we want to give new students a chance and place to develop and continue to push their limits in Amore Prime School.

The first day of SOW starts with an opening ceremony led by our senior high school principal, then we introduce the teachers and student council members. Talk show about student council led by the president and vice president of the student council discussed about the structure in student council as well as the importance and impact in joining student council.

There was a lot of explanation about the school system in academic and non-academic fields. There’s plenty of fun games that was played together, beside all the fun in those games there’s a lesson and meaning behind it and that lesson is “team work”. The main goal of this event is to encourage new students to know each other and can be solid as one team.

The student council of Amore Senior High School organized a class meeting. In our class meeting, there were multiple sports competition events such as basketball, futsal, and also tug of war. The class meeting was held for 2 days, on Tuesday (7th of June) and on Wednesday (8th of June). We also made a stand where we sold food and drinks for both days for all of the attendees of the class meeting. During the first day, the futsal competition was held, where grade 10 and 11s competed with each other. We started off the day with a prayer and also did our warm-up so that there will be no injuries. After our warm-up, we started the futsal competition. The futsal competition was held for both boys and girls separately.

            During the 2nd day, the sports competition that were held were basketball for boys and tug of war for girls. In this 2nd day we also held a special event where students of Amore Senior High School competed against the teachers. The day started with prayers and also warm-up and right after was the basketball competition. After the basketball competition, we went straight to the tug-of-war competition. All of the events were done very lively because students who were not participating cheered up everyone. Then, the events were stopped for a while because of the heavy rain, but then we continued the student vs teachers event right after. Overall, the event was very lively and it was enjoyable for everyone participating and attending the class meeting.
